Weddings are our passion and make up over 50% of the business. We also cater to corporate functions, private parties and school dances.

We train our team to be “classy-cool” on the mic. We are the “sound-track” of your event, but you are the “face” of it. Our performers’ presentation is polished and understated, marked by artistic mixing and a professional “cheese-free” approach to announcements and microphone work. Many of our competition think it’s their job to put on a show and be the center of attention at all cost… We firmly believe that your wedding is your show, and we have no interest in taking the spotlight from you. Your dance floor will be busy, but it will be because the DJ selected just the right songs from your request list and mixed them in just the right sequence – not because they chattered endlessly on the microphone.

Our standard rates include a travel radius of 1 hour (one-way) from our office in Vancouver BC. This means we cover most areas of Upper and Lower Fraser Valley with no additional travel fee. Also included are Sunshine Coast, Whistler, Hope and the entire Vancouver Island. (Travel and or ferry fee may apply) If you are looking to have us DJ an event further away or out of the country, call us for a custom quote.

CDJ encourages you to meet with your selected deejay prior to your event. We can either meet in person or chat via phone or online. We feel it is beneficial for you to get to experience their personality.

Yes! We offer unlimited planning and music sessions with your salesperson and/or performer.

Distance is no longer a factor for our clients. We can schedule a meeting online via Skype or Facetime. You get the same exact experience as you would be coming into our office (minus the handshake). If you just need to see how we mix, we can send you a sample audio/video of your selected performer.

Out of respect for the privacy of others on their special day, CDJ Inc does not permit prospective clients to “drop in” on a private event unless it is first approved by the event organizers.

All our DJs are happy to personalize the music and soundtrack around your taste(s). Your input is very much welcome.

No problem. We are a part of the international network of professional DJ’s which allows us to share our audio, video and karaoke libraries in real time. The DJ now can search various music libraries around the world in seconds.

The CDJ Inc DJs are all utilizing multiple formats to play your music, including full digital or retro-vinyl records. We are license holders for Serato, Virtual DJ and Tractor.

We proudly outfit our DJs with Pioneer, QSC, Shure, JBL and other professional brands.

Our performers always arrive on-site at least an hour and a half prior to the contracted start time of the event, and earlier as necessitated by the setup requirements of the site.

CDJ Inc has a backup systems, technicians and deejays in place each weekend.

Unless otherwise requested all our DJs beat-mix the music, whatever genre(s) it may be. This allows us to keep the happy energy flow and your guests up dancing throughout the party, regardless of the music styles selected.

We bring enough gear to do the event without having to have a break in music.

Absolutely! We’re not at all attached to tradition – we’re here to incorporate the music you request, and to mix it in a way that will create the wedding and energy you’ve envisioned.

We do not. Our performers do not dress in any type of costume or distribute props to the crowd, unless requested and provided by our clients. We also don’t harass your guests into joining us on the dance floor, nor do we teach them how to line dance. If you are seeking a performer to motivate your guests in this way, you would probably be happier with another deejay company – there are a few who specialize in this style of entertainment!

Yes! We offer wireless LED up-lighting that can be modified to complement your events color theme. We also offer a variety of other services such as FunPhotoBooth, Video-Projection(s), custom logo projection and more…

We are here to help! During our initial meeting, we work out a bulk of the music with you, figuring out your style and tastes to make the music selections that day. CDJ Inc takes detailed notes to organize your music choices, timeline and all other relevant details.

We encourage you to be as involved as you would like to be! If you would like to select every song, we are happy to accommodate you. Most of our couples, however, prefer to discuss their preferences and at least pick a few specific requests such as first dance, cake cutting etc. That helps in alleviating the stress of picking out everything/enough music for your event.

Once you’ve submitted the contact form on our website and indicated that you’re ready to connect with a DJ, we’ll send you a few easy questions to answer via email. These will enable us to match you with an available DJ who will be a great fit for you in terms of music, personality and any other preferences you may have. The DJ will then be more than happy to schedule an easy, convenient consultation via Skype or telephone (or meet you in person if you prefer) to discuss your plans, review the contract and answer your questions. You’ll have a 15-day window during which to make your decision, electronically sign your agreement and submit payment – and of course we’re here to provide any additional information or assistance you need during that time and along the way!

CDJ Inc owns an enormous library of music in all formats, including world-music. We update our collection constantly, ensuring that we can provide the songs that our clients and their guests are currently enjoying. Furthermore, we work closely with our clients in selecting the music for their event, and will gladly acquire any commercially available song that we don’t already own at no additional cost.

Our package-deals we offer are the best and the simplest way to book for those that are not booking DJ services often. We also do offer “a la cart” system of booking for the event planners or banquet professionals. The package-deals and promotional pricing is available upon request.

A $200 nonrefundable retainer is due with your signed agreement within 15 days of the contract being presented to you. This retainer reserves and guarantees our services on your day, and includes performers unlimited accessibility to you in providing music planning assistance. Any balance owing is due on the day of your event.

We require at least one 6-foot banquet table with linen(s) matching room decor, and adequate power (120-volt, 15-amp circuit on a grounded outlet) within 35 feet of where the DJ will be set up. Also, access to the loading bay or area designated for loading/unloading of any and all equipment necessary for period of 1.5hrs (max).
